The ForgeFast Timber Fixing Screws eliminate the need to pre-drill your timber. ForgeFast’s screws are self-drilling; the drill point cuts its own thread while being driven into the timber. The thread cutting screw creates a small hole while entering the timber, creating a tight friction fit between the threads helping to prevent loosening caused by vibrations. The molecular lubrication also helps to ensure easy application with reduced friction. The screws can flex up to 35°, enabling you to use them on work pieces that tend to move around slightly which removes concern about shearing the screw.
ForgeFast’s Timber Fixing Screws feature a combination hexagonal head with deep Tork compatible insert. You can identify the torx head by the distinct 6-point star-shaped pattern. The star-shaped head makes the screw much more secure than cross-head or flat-head screws and allow a higher torque transmission. ForgeFast’s patented design prevents the wood from jacking or splitting, even when used close to the corner of a joint.
